I'm accustomed to haunted places, and so is Leo. Both of us have been around ghosts and hauntings for most of our lives, and he's been doing investigations for quite some time already, though I'm fairly new to it.
When I first moved here to North Carolina from Ohio, we shared a three bedroom apartment in Garner, near Raleigh. One of the first things I noticed when I came into the apartment was a strange smell. It literally smelled like a woman who hadn't showed in quite some time (and it wasn't me, honest!).
It's very possible that there was an... "aroma" from Leo's ex-wife in the house, though I seriously doubt that the foul odor could have stayed around for several months after she'd left the apartment. Over time, more scents developed, including the smell of hay, then of ROTTING hay. We also heard a large number of taps from in our bedroom, sounding like they were coming out of the walls themselves.
Furthermore, we had a "feeling" of an old man in the apartment next door (which at the time was unoccupied), sitting in a rocking chair, lonely and dying all by himself. Whether there's anything substantial behind this, we can't say, but the odors were definitely there! |
