The three of us worked for a theatre at one point that was distinctly haunted. I know that Lodi saw many of the same things that I did, and experienced some of the same "creepy things" that I did.
For instance, the little girl who we believed turned the volume up on the projectors in the projection booth.
Do either of you want to comment on any of your experiences? Please? :D |

Umm...only thing I have really noticed at the movies...was Theatre 16...Whenever I cleaned in there at night, I swear I would see somebody in the projection window, and i would have this weird awkward, feeling like i wasnt wanted in there...And it was always around 3 am....when i worked for the cleaning company....
it was creepy..and i dont like that theatre... |

Theatre 16 was a weird one in the booth, too. I used to have the strangest sense of being watched on that side of the theatre whenever I was threading that projector, and I'd do it as fast as I possibly could just to get out of there. It was always worse when there was horror movie playing too, which I find really interesting.
Odder still is that the last time I was in that booth, there was NOTHING there. |

|
|
Overview: The theater was built almost 9 years ago. I've worked there for over five years.
The Projection Booth-
I've included a floor plan of the projection booth and the setup of a projector for reference. You can click them for a larger view.
The Little Girl: A playful spirit. Although, I think Becki and I were the only ones not afraid of her. She visits #1, #2, #3, #4, and #7. Occasionally, she will turn up the sound monitors. This would usually happen when we were on the other side of the booth. She also will say "Hi!" or "Hey!". However, I don't know if anyone else has experienced it besides me. I talked to one of our Police Officers that works on the weekends. He told me a story of when the theater was being built. The building was only in the very early stages of the foundation. They got a call of screaming in the back of the building. There is a marsh section fenced off. When they came to check it out, they couldn't find anything. As they were getting ready to leave, they heard screaming of a little girl. They ran in the direction of the screams and it stopped. All they found was a little hat. I don't think they ever found the girl.
The Older Girl: This is the only one I know that I have seen. Meaning that, it wasn't just a glimpse or my eyes playing tricks on me. Also, there was another witness. I don't know if anyone remembers or has heard of the blackout three years ago. It happened on that night. Those of us that were lucky enough to work that day, got to stay and build movies in the dark. We were racing against time and hoping the emergency lights would last forever. That was not the case. My boss and Meghan were at #9 fast forwarding the movie by hand. Joe and I were at #16 building a trailer pack by hand. Around 10pm, I went over to #9 to ask my boss if we could leave after we finished the trailer pack. At this point all we had was flashlights. There was a break in the conversation and I heard a noise over on the other side of the booth. I shined my flashlight down the hallway. I saw one of the movie sheets, that are stuck to the back of the projector, fly up. I look at Meghan and asked if she had saw the same thing. So we both looked again. That's when we saw her, she was partly hiding behind the sound tower of #7. She had dark hair and a white nightgown on and looked as though she had drown. I asked Meghan if she also saw the same thing. Without giving any information away, she described the same thing I had saw. My boss quickly interrupted us and told us to get back to work. We tried to get him to look, but he doesn't believe in ghosts/spirits and refused.
The Pacing Man: This was more of a glimpse sighting. This man would come out of the Lobby Projector room and walk down the hallway and turn the corner by #16. Sometimes you would see him going to the Lobby Projector room. The Lobby Projection room is by #9.
Negative Energy at #15: It's not clear what was over there. When I would go over to thread the projector, there was a very clear message of "I don't want you here". Would you agree, Becki? When she told "it" that she wasn't afraid, "it" didn't bother her. When I finally did the same thing, "it" went away. Although, last night there was a noticeable urine/dead thing smell.
Metal Banging by #11: It can either be described as metal banging or a metal pole being rubbed. It is usually two "taps" and it repeats after a couple of seconds. There could be an explanation of course. A construction worker did die while the building was being built. Draw your own conclusions.
Bathroom: The Breaker room is adjacent to the bathroom. While in the bathroom, you can hear what sounds like someone turning on the light switch. Sometimes, you can hear the door being opened and then closing. The door is always propped open. Also, there was a short time where the bathroom sink would shake and the faucet didn't have to be running. Any time this would happen to me, I could hear the noises in the breaker room too.
The Ground Floor-
Auditoriums Lots of our employees have heard voices while entering an auditorium, to find no one was in there. There have also been a lot of sightings. Mostly while ushering, walking in after a customer to clean the auditorium, and realizing you are the only ones in there. |

I don't have a lot of time right now (literally five minutes) but I did want to comment on this one.
This is the most extreme... Well, I'd call it a "dead zone" that I've ever experienced. Very frightening, very fobidding, and to the point where Lodi and I would often go over there together instead of threading #15 alone.
I believe now that this force might have been a demon. I am a notorious non-believer in demons, but there were two cases in the projection booth that gave the impression of evil, and this was one of them. The other I will get into tomorrow, because I think it's important to this thread in general.
Generally speaking lesser demons will leave a person alone if the person professes to be unafraid, because demons thrive on our fears and our own negative energy.
Something, I believe, happened on the grounds on which the theatre was built long before it was built. Lodi, if Rob will allow it, when Leo and I come up there next month I'd like to check it out either before opening or after closing :) |

Okay, I have a little bit more time now to address this. First of all, let me say: Lodi, I really appreciate your taking the time to get that written up. I fixed the coding for you (since the [DoHTML] tag doesn't work with this software for some reason) so your post displays properly, but you did such a wonderful job. I am thrilled that you took the time to share that with everybody!

I never knew about all of the history behind the little girl! I know that the "blue lady" was explained (the one that Cyndi saw on a couple of occasions) by the fact that she'd committed suicide on the train tracks near there, but I never had the history of the little girl.
Now I have seen her, and I thought you had too. She wears a yellow dress with, I think, pink dots on it. They might be red. She's very friendly, very cheerful and always playful. While I don't think any of us have ever seen her turn up the sound on any of the projectors, I've always known that it was her. I'd tell her to stop it and there would be a sense of a scolded child. Pretty interesting.
Now I did want to get back a bit to the negative energy at #15, particularly with regards to the odor you said was over there a couple of nights ago. Do you remember in, I think it was 2002, between Mabon and Samhain how there was that big shadow around the ceiling? And additionally, do you remember the STENCH that Dave said was a rat rotting away in the walls? Then how the entire thing just STOPPED after Samhain?
That was really quite amazing, and another indication of demonic activity in the booth.
For those of you who don't know this theatre and never worked the booth (which is everybody but me and Lodi!), Most of us were afraid to go to the 9-16 side of the projection booth because this "entity" couldn't make it past projector #9 for whatever reason. I hated to thread any of those projectors, and always found myself running back over to the 1-8 side of the theatre! |

Hey, that's kind of cool! The little girl sounds really freaky, and the bigger girl too. She looked like she drowned? Was the place near water or something? Do you know anything about her?
Sorry, I've got a lot of questions, but I'm just curious. |

Becki, are you saying that the "blue lady" is the same as the "older girl" I described?? I remember that a woman committed suicide on the train tracks.

It looked like, to me, that she did drown.
There is a marsh behind the building that is fenced off. The area was a field before construction. I believe the marsh area was much larger back then. |

| I forgot to mention that I did not get a chance to record anything in the booth on Saturday. I do work on the 30th (Monday) and the 31th (Tuesday). I will try then. |

No, I don't think that the blue lady and the drowned girl are the same. I never saw either of them, to be honest. Just the lady in white who wandered downstairs at the back of concession.
The pacing man was another interesting one for me because I believe he's the one who used to blow in my ear. Okay, so that sounds funny, but there was definitely a ghost in the booth who was... Well, blowing in my ear :) |
