One of the most difficult things, especially for female investigators (just my opinion!) is staying calm right in the moment, when there are footsteps outside the car late at night on a deserted road (as an example, of course!).
I find that focusing on the task at hand and the importance of getting a good reading is the best possible way to stay calm in the face of a ghost walking towards you. Also, knowing your protections. I carry a piece of amathyst with me everywhere I go, and I believe that helps. Fetishes often seem to have that effect.
Does anybody else have any suggestions for remaining calm while in the midst of an investigation? |

I wanted to add that grounding and centering can work wonders in difficult situations.
I imagine a root growing from my own root (tailbone, basically) into the ground and passing all of my negative, fearful energy out into the nurturing earth. Then I imagine drawing up the positive Earth energy into my body, centering that in my belly and then moving forward with whatever task is at hand.
This works for me in a variety of difficult situations, but when doing an investigation it can ensure that you don't become prey to any of the "bad" things out there. |
