Last night was the first time we've had to deal with the police in doing one of our investigations. The old house we've been going out to is a haven for drug users, and on our way there, we passed the house of a deputy sheriff. It probably wouldn't have been a problem if we hadn't parked the car up the road (basically outside of his house) and then walked down to the house rather than driving there (we didn't want to kill the car battery).
Well, the deputy came up behind us, lights flashing as we were walking down the road, and stopped us. I have to say that my heart was racing more because of that one thing than because of where we were, especially considering that we were back out there at night.
At any rate, we simply explained who we were (Piedmont Area Ghost Investigation Network) and that we'd come out to try to capture some EVPs. The deputy looked at our IDs, ran Jessica's lisence plate, and allowed us to proceed with nothing more than a request that we let him know if we found anything.
Of course we found nothing (no intruders and no EVPs because of the microphone problem we had), but that's beside the point.
The best thing that one can do when dealing with the cops is to be honest. "We're Ghost Hunters and we're here to do an investigation." It certainly worked for us! |

That is funny, but what amazes me even more, is the fact that they just let you go without giving you a problem....I think if a cop pulled me over, and I told them that I was ghost hunting and I was under an investigation, then they would probably arrest me.....It's because you're a girl...I know it! |

| It was me, Leo, Jessica and Josh who were out there, and we just had to give the deputy our State IDs/Driver's lisences before he'd let us go. To be honest, I think he was curious, and preferred two tough men and two little girls to check out the druggies rather than going down there himself. Especially considering that we were in his own neighbourhood. |
